Throughout the seventies and early eighties in Tokyo, I made embossed photo engravings which I thought of as installations on paper. In them, some people wear traditional kimonos, others wear Western clothing: changing. Everyone is going somewhere, leaving their embossed positions and heading off, where? To see the world as it turned out, when the prints traveled to shows in Europe, America, Australia, and, more recently, Hawaii. (See www.idspacehawaii.com) |
